Chronology on Kim Jong Nam's death

Feb 13, 2017, Kim was scheduled to catch a flight from Kuala Lumpur to the Chinese-administered city of Macau on Monday, February 13, he felt like someone grabbed or held his face from behind. He was poisoned at the check-in counters for Air Asia at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (2). He felt dizzy then he went to an airport customer service to ask for medical help. Kim was taken to a clinic on the premises which they decided to call an ambulance and send him to the hospital. He died on his way to the hospital.

Feb 14, 2017, the death of Kim Jong Nam's death then was aired on Tuesday. Malaysia Police described the incident as a "sudden death". Kim was travelling in Malaysia with a fake passport under the name Kim Chol. 

Feb 15, 2017, South Korean believed that Kim's death was a murder and they blame it on North Korea.  

The chairman of South Korea's National Assembly Intelligence Committee, Lee Cheol Woo have told the media and the reporters that Kim had been poisoned and the suspects were believed to be two Asian females. Malaysia police arrested two person in connection with the case, Doan Thi Huong, 30, Vietnamese woman at the airport and Muhammad Farid bin Jalaluddin, 26, in Ampang.

Feb 16, 2017, Jalaludin helped the police to locate another suspect which is his girlfriend, Siti Aisyah, 25, from Indonesia. Later on that day, police confirmed that the validity of the now-infamous "LOL" photo, an image from closed circuit security footage showing one of the female suspects in the case on Monday.

Aisyah told the police that she had sprayed others in a similar guarded three or four times, although only Kim incident allegedly involved a dangerous substance. She was given a few money for the job and she was unaware that she was being used as a tool in a potential assassination plot. The tense between North Korea and Malaysia came out to the public. After a news was broke on Tuesday, Malaysian authorities announced that they would be conducting an autopsy as part of its investigation. North Korean officials later said that they would not accept unless their officials can witness the procedure. 

Pyangyong's ambassador to Malaysia, Kang Chol said Friday the country would reject the results of a forced autopsy on one of its citizens and demanded the immediate release of Jong Nam's body. But Selangor Police, Chief Abdul Samah Mat would not hand over the body of Kim Jong Nam or release the autopsy of the report before they get a DNA from the next of the kin. A fourth arrest was also get caught on Friday. Police detained North Korean Ri Jong Chol at an apartment in Selangor. 

Feb 18, 2017, Malaysia's police chief, Inspector General Abdul Khalid Abu Bakar said that our country didn't need North Korea's permission to conduct an autopsy. 

Feb 19, 2017, authorities were looking four more suspects to all North Koreans who left the country the day of the attack. the suspects were believed do not hold diplomatic passports to assist with the investigation.  

Feb 20, 2017, a footage regarding about Kim Jong Nam's attacked was released. A closed circuit television footage appeared to show the moment that Kim Jong Nam's murder. 

Feb 23, 2017, Malaysian authorities they wanted to speak with a North Korean embassy official and airline employee as part of their investigation into Kim Jong Nam's murder. By demanding for DNA to confirm the victim's identity North Korea said that they did not trust the North. 

Feb 24, 2017, the chemical substance that used to kill Jong Nam was identified, It was a VX nerve agent. The test that was conducted on Kim's eyes and face revealed the action of the fast-acting toxic substance. 

Feb 26, 2017, Malaysia's Health Minister Dr. Subramaniam Sathasivam gave more details about the poison. The death would have happened about 15 to 20 minutes after Kim was attacked and that he must has felt painful. 

Mar 1, 2017, Aisyah and Huong came to the court and were both formally charged with Kim;s murder. Both of them told the court that were not guilty. If they are to be found guilty, both of them will face death penalty that will be hanging in Malaysia. 

Mar 2, 2017, Malaysia dropped its visa-free status for North Koreans. Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahi Hamidi said that from Mar 6, 2017, North Koreans would need a visa to enter the country. 

As for now latest follow up with this news is that Ri Jong Chol was handed over to Malaysian immigration officials under a heavy police escort. Police did not have sufficient evidence to charge Ri, Malaysian Attorney General Mohamed said that he was due to be deported to North Korea.
