"One Last Goodbye"

From left: Damon, Elena and Stefan
After 8 years and 171 episodes, we can finally say goodbye to the Vampire Diaries. For years, I have wondered how the show would end. After countless goodbyes throughout the series, I think that this is the perfect ending. It was very emotional to have watch the final episode. To be honest, I've opted to stop watching the series countless times during season five and six but the show have always succeed in pulling me back in. That's how good of a show it is!

Dare I say it, if it were to be compared with Twilight and True Blood, the series would overcome them by a mile away. It's not just a show about vampires, werewolves, witches and so forth. The show express the very definition of lost in ways that no man nor women should ever endure. But most importantly, the show tells the story of love and family and the lengths you'll go for the love of your family.

One of the memorable moments from the series finale was the return of Nina Dobrev, reprising her role of not only as Elena Gilbert, but also the ever cunning Katherine Pierce. Also returning to the series finale were Vicki Donovan, Jeremy Gilbert, Elizabeth Forbes, Tyler Lockwood, Josette Laughlin, Jenna Sommers and Grayson, Miranda, John Gilbert.

So on behalf of all the die-hard Vampire Diaries fans out there, I would like to say thank you to Julie Plec for the wonderful 8 years you have given us. Without you, all of this would've not be possible. I'm sad that the series has ended but all good things must come to an end #VampireDiariesFinale
